Woodus Kellum DuBose Jr., age 81 of Rocky Point passed peacefully Sunday January 16, 2022 at home.

He was born July 19, 1940 in New Hanover County son of the late Woodus and Iris Shingleton DuBose.

He is survived by his wife Lisa Manning DuBose; three sons, Woodus D. DuBose of Rocky Point, Stephen DuBose and wife Inez of FL, and Jason DuBose and wife Angela of FL;three daughters, Cynthia Beck and husband Ronnie of Shallotte, Kimberly D. Brown and Patrina Daugherty both of Jacksonville ; Twelve grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Woody served honorably in the United States Navy. He loved his family and loved seeing his church family and going to church. Woody cherished his dogs Toby and Theo.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday January 25, 2022 at Herrings Chapel United Methodist Church. Reverend William Hill Pearsall will officiate.
