William Joseph Meszes, age 90 of Hampstead, died Monday, April 21, 2014 at Pender Memorial Hospital. Bill was born March 20, 1924 in NY, son of the late Joseph and Julia Busha Meszes.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Meszes of Hampstead; 2 sisters, Julia Uhlry of Holly Ridge, Mary Dolecki of Porter's Neck; sisters-n-law Ann Meszes of Hampstead, and Despina Horvath of Burgaw; and many nieces and nephews.

Bill was a caring person always concerned about other people's feelings. He loved to fish and enjoyed watching from his Virginia Creek home as others fished the waterway. The family would like to thank Huntington Health Care and Davita Dialysis for their special care of Bill.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am Friday April 25, 2014 at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church. Reverend Father Roger Malonda will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Helena Cemetery.

A Rosary will be held at 6pm Thursday at Harrell's Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will follow from 7-8pm.
