William Dale Babson, age 72 of Burgaw, passed peacefully at home Wednesday February 16, 2022.

He was born June 8, 2022 in Columbus County son of the late Abram and Annie Simmons Babson. He was also predeceased by his daughter Rebecca Babson.

He is survived by his son, Steve Babson of Wallace; and daughter, DeAnna Babson and Rick Conklin of Burgaw; seven grandchildren William Hall and wife Alice, Darien Hall, Melissa Babson, Christian Williams, Jessica Williams, Peyton Babson and Kyndall Babson; three great grandchildren Caid Hall, Asher Hall and Bekah Babson; and brother, Bobby Dove and wife Lisa of Bladenboro.

William was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing and hanging out with friends and family.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday March 1, 2022 at Harrell's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Shelia Newkirk will officiate.
