W E Wells, age 83 of Watha, went to meet the Lord Sunday February 5, 2012. He was born in Pender County January 13, 1929, son of the late Arthur Graham Wells and Liddie Rivenbark Wells. He was predeceased by his son Franklin Earl Wells and his brother Allen Wells.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Alberta Rose Wells, a daughter Cindy Rogers and husband Glenn of Watha, a son Danny Wells of Rose Hill; 5 grandchildren, Derrick Wells and wife Kristina, Brandon Wells, Jonathan Wells and wife Nichole all of Colorado Springs, Benjamin Wells of Watha, and Nicholas Rogers and wife Lindsay of Newport News, Va.; 6 great-grandchildren of Colorado Springs; 3 brothers, Johnnie Wells and wife Julia of Willard, twin brother J P Wells and wife Sophie, and Nathan Wells and wife Annette; and 1 sister, Deloris Chadwick all of Watha; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 8, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Harrell's Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend David Knowles will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park.
