Teddy Laverne "Ted" Rogers, age 84 of Burgaw passed peacefully Tuesday October 13, 2020 at Lower Cape Fear Life Care.

He was born May 9, 1936 in New Hanover County, son of the late Ellery and Alice Carpenter Rogers.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Sylvia Kenan Rogers; son, Joseph Rogers and wife Kimberly of Burgaw; grandson, Brett Rogers; three step grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Ted loved his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Friday October 16, 2020 at Riverview Memorial Park. Reverend Frankie Seamster will officiate and burial will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Lower Cape Fear Life Care or Parkinson's disease research.
