Sylvia Kenan Rogers, age 89 of Burgaw passed peacefully Saturday October 10, 2026 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare with her loved ones by her side.

She was born June 24, 1937 in Pender County, daughter of the late W. D. and Margaret Kenan.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Rogers and wife Kimberly of Burgaw; four grandchildren, Brett Rogers, Jeremiah Pridgen, Kalynne Pridgen, and Aaron Pridgen; and eight great grandchildren.

Sylvia liked to read and enjoyed doing puzzles but above all she loved her family and dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Monday October 12, 2026 at Riverview Memorial Park with Reverend Frankie Seamster officiating and burial will follow.
