Dec 9, 1965 — Mar 6, 2022
Zebulon
Gregory Scott Turner, age 56 of Zebulon passed peacefully Sunday March 6, 2022 at Cleveland Clinique Hospital in Port St. Lucie FL surrounded by his loving family.
Scott was born December 9, 1965 in Gaston County, son of Ronald and Sarah Hallman Turner.
He is survived by, in addition to his parents, his wife, Inga Meeks Turner; daughter, Brooke Turner Allen and husband Bill of Raleigh; two granddaughters, Brynlee and Millie Cate Allen; brother, Ronnie Turner (Nancy) of Zebulon; two sisters, Ronda Turner (Mike) of Canada, and Julie Harrell (Herb) of Burgaw; father and mother in law, Ben and Cathy Meeks of Raleigh; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Scott loved spending time with his friends and family. He was most happy when he was spending time with his granddaughters, Brynlee and Millie Cate or watching the Tarheels play football or basketball! He never missed watching the Tarheels play and went to watch a game any chance that he had. His granddaughters were the light of his life, and you could always find him showing off pictures of them and spending time with them whenever he could. Even during COVID when everything was shut down, he would come and sit in their driveway so he could see them. The girls loved their G-Daddy just as much as he loved them. He loved his four girls more than anything: Inga, Brooke, Brynlee and Millie Cate. He loved his mom and dad and brothers and sisters, and they often tell stories about their memories growing up in Bentley Woods. He always made sure his mom and dad were taken care of. Scott's friends describe him with a contagious laugh and a heart made of gold. His happy place was spending his free time with his wife, Inga, at Outdoor World at Lake Gaston where he had an enormous number of friends that turned into family. He loved spending Sundays with his friends watching football. As you can tell, there is one thing that all these things have in common and that is his friends. Scott loved spending time with loved ones. Most importantly Scott's loved ones loved spending time with him, even though he always had to be right. "I understand that, but…"
Inga, Brooke, Bill, Brynlee and Millie Cate would like to express their gratitude to all their friends and family during this extremely difficult time. They will forever be grateful!
