Ruth Elizabeth Riemenschnitter Meyer Diller, age 95 of Blounts Creek, NC, died Wednesday September 19, 2012.

Ruth was born November 5, 1916 in Lombard( Westmore), Illinois, DuPage County to Paul August Frederick and Elizabeth Koenig Riemenschnitter.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Edward Karl Meyer and Joseph Arden Diller; son, Keith Edward Meyer; brother Wesley Emery Frank Riemenschnitter and a sister and brother-in-law, Esther Bernice Riemenschnitter Meyer and Urban Louis Martin Meyer.

Survivors include her daughter, Andrea Meyer Winter (Gary) of Burgaw, NC; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was a graduate of Wheaton Academy (Wheaton, Illinois) Class of 1934. She was a student at Moody Bible Institute, studying the organ. Her greatest goal in life was to serve/worship the Lord, whether it was skillfully playing a pipe organ or piano, washing dishes, woodworking (cabinet-grade), or making clothes for her family. She was truly a "Proverbs 31" woman. She led by example, not settling for the mediocre.

Though she couldn't remember her own name the afternoon she died, she was able to sing "Jesus Loves Me" and "Jesus Loves the Little Children"; and quoted John 3:16 without hesitation. The motto for her life was from Psalm 19:14, " Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer."

Churches where she served: Glen Ellyn Bible Church and Grace Lutheran Church (Glen Ellyn, Illinois); Calvary Memorial Church (Racine, Wisconsin); Tabernacle Baptist Church (Milwaukee, Wisconsin); St. Peter's Episcopal Church (Washington, NC); and, Plymouth UMC (Plymouth, NC).
Burial will take place at a later date in Washington North Carolina.
