Ronald Perry (Snooky) Millis Sr., age 81 of Hampstead, passed peacefully Tuesday January 5, 2021 at Woodbury Wellness in Hampstead. He was born May 24, 1939 in Pender County, son of the late Richard Barry Millis and Emmie Swinson Millis.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Nadine Shingleton Millis; son, Ronald (Ron) Perry Millis Jr. and wife, Penny Smith Millis of Hampstead; two grandchildren, Christopher Millis and wife Tonya of Hampstead, and LeAnne Millis Hester and husband Jonathon of Charlotte; six great grandchildren, Luke, Alexa, Olivia, Noah, Sutton and Riley; two brothers, Tom Millis and wife Nora, David Millis and wife Libby, all of Hampstead;  many nieces and nephews; a special friend and coon hunting buddy, Howard Simmons; his seafood pals, Warren and Marsha Spiller; special nephews, Richard Daniels and Charles Costner;  and brother in law Craig Shingleton and wife Laura. Besides his loving parents, Ronald is predeceased by two brothers and four sisters.

Ronald worked for Locklear Roofing, J H Lea Seafood, and worked for the Topsail School System for 19 years. His wife was the love of his life and his son and family was his heart!

Because of Covid, a service will be held at a later date.
