Rodney Dwayne Blanton age 38 of Rose Hill passed away Wednesday November 9, 2016 at home.
He was born April 2, 1978 in New Hanover County son of the late Willie and Martha Leary Blanton. He was also predeceased by his brothers Donald and Kenneth Blanton and sister Juanita Garner.
Left to cherish his memory are brothers Willie 'Bud' Blanton of Willard, David Blanton and wife Stephany of Willard,Michael Blanton and wife Carol of Loris SC; sisters Betty Carol and husband Robert of Lillington and Diane Jones and husband Jimmy of Harrells; many nieces and nephews and special friend Norma Whaley of Rose Hill.
Rodney enjoyed being around family and friends. He dearly loved his family and his dog Goober.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday November 13, 2016 at Peniel Pentecostal FWB Church. Reverend Elbert Hollowell will officiate.
The family will receive friends at 1:00PM Sunday one hour before the service at the Church.
