Ray Hoyt "Captain Ray" Edwards age 78 of Beulaville died Sunday March 11, 2012 at Kenansville Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born October 7, 1933 in Middlesboro Kentucky son of the late Ray Edwards Sr. and Minnie Rose Edwards. He was also predeceased by his wife Joanne Edwards.

Captain Ray was the owner and operator of a Fishing Charter boat in Florida. He was a 32nd degree Mason with the E. T. Carson Lodge #598.

He is survived by three sons, Ray Allen Edwards and wife Angie of Beulaville, Gary Lee Edwards and wife Pamela of Columbus OH, Thomas E. Edwards of Dayton KY; a daughter Cheryl E. Beckley and husband John of North Pole AK; Eight grandchildren; and several Step-Grandchildren, and Great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 11:30 AM Tuesday March 13, 2012 at 288 S. Blizzard Town Rd. Beulaville, NC 28518. Reverend Ray Kennedy will officiate.
