Ralph Smith, age 70 of Wallace, passed peacefully Wednesday April 8, 2020 at Lower Cape Fear Life Center, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born November 18, 1949 in Sampson County, son of the late Simon and Harriett Autry Smith Jr. He was also predeceased by a brother Cecil Smith.

He is survived by three brothers, David Smith and wife Geneva of Wallace, Johnny Smith and wife Lisa of Fayetteville, and Ricky Smith and wife Cindy of Wallace; Sister Judy Ake of Fayetteville; many nieces and nephews; and faithful dog Chloe.

Ralph served his country honorably as a member of the United States Air Force. He was a loving and caring person. He kept up with national news and loved to talk politics. Ralph was a kind and gentle soul.

A private service will be held at Antioch Church.
