Mrs. Phyllis Worrell "Biby" Gardner, age 75 of Wallace died Friday January 3, 2014 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice.

She was born July 7, 1938 in Pender county daughter of the late James and Mamie Meadows Worrell. She was also predeceased by her son James Tracy Norris.

She is survived by her husband James Gardner Jr. of the home; daughter, Windy Lane Norris of Wilmington; three grandchildren, Amanda Faulk, Seth Norris and Trey Norris; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Evelyn Norris of Willard, Doris Barnette of Warsaw, Shirley Helton of Kenansville, and Jody Lea and husband Gary of Hampstead; many nieces and nephews; and beloved pet Misty.

Funeral services will be Monday January 6, 2014 at 12:00 noon at Peniel PFWB Church in Penderlea. The reverend Howard Harrell will officiate. Burial will follow in Cavanaugh Cemetery, Wallace.
The family will receive friends at 11:00 am, one hour before the service, at the church.
