Peggy Millar George, age 87 of Wilmington, died Saturday November 24, 2012 at Wilmington Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born February 14, 1925 in Wilmington, daughter of the late Glenn and Elizabeth Crumpler Millar.
She is survived by her husband, Lucius R. George; children, Rebecca Caudle and husband Don of Tarboro, Bob George and wife Joan of Richland MI, and Pamela Womble and husband Danny of Chapel Hill; two grandchildren, Will Caudle of New Burn and Rob Caudle of Raleigh; Special nieces and nephew, Betty Sue, Bonnie, Vicki, Chris, and Jody.
A private graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Burgaw Cemetery. A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday November 28, 2012 at the First Baptist Church Wilmington. Reverend Frank Hawkins and Reverend Jim Everett will officiate. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
