Pauline Murray Bowden, age 90 of Burgaw, passed away peacefully Sunday April 24, 2011 at Huntington Health Care of Burgaw.

Pauline was born April 27, 1920 in Pender County daughter of the late Ella Murray and Benjamin Graham Murray. She was also predeceased by her husband William "Billy" Bowden; five brothers, Horace, Alva, Reuben, Leamon, and William Murray; and a sister Ethel Murray.

She had no children but is survived by many loving nieces and nephews that were her children. She was predeceased by her dog Cody.

Pauline worked for Dees Drug Store for many years, where with her winning smile, made many friends and acquaintances. She was a member of the Burgaw United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday April 27, 2011 at Harrell's Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Laura Mitchell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Burgaw Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-7:30 pm at Harrell's Funeral Home and at other times at the homes of Joyce R. Rivenbark 2918 Penderlea Hwy., and Millard Murray 1280 Whitestocking Rd. Burgaw.
