Patrick Ernest Rich, age 69 of Burgaw, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday May 13, 2023 at Lower Cape Fear Life Care, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born November 25, 1953 in New Hanover County son of the late Isaac and Ada Rich.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Hilda Rich; son, Jonathon Horrell and wife Natasha of Leland; two grandchildren, James Morgan and Kyra Morgan; two brothers, Jimmy Rich and wife Rita and Elmer Ray Rich and wife Peggy all of Leland; and many nieces and nephews.

Patrick was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving honorably in the US Army. He loved being in the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, gunsmithing and shooting. Patrick was a private person and would spend hours reading. He had a strong belief in the Lord and his faith. Family was very important to him and Patrick dearly loved his family.

The family will receive friends at 12:00 PM Sunday. A memorial service will be at 1:00 PM Sunday May 21, 2023 at Calvary Chapel Church 2265 Hwy. 117 S. Burgaw. Pastor Tony Fontana will officiate.
