Michael Joseph Grant, age 58 passed peacefully on Monday April 22, 2024.

Mike was born July 2 1965 in Sacramento, CA to Kenneth Grant and Mary Tuttle who both preceded him in death. His sister Kathy also preceded him in death.

Mike is survived by his son Sean Wilson-Grant who was his entire world; step daughters Haley Owens(Jamil) and Jessica Whitley(Ryan); as well as brother Kenneth Grant Jr(Susan); and sister Rosemary Johnson; lifelong friend, Kenny Long plus many extended family members including nieces and nephews.

Mike was always working, he started doing Brick masonry and enjoyed doing that for over 20 yrs. He spent the last 5 years at surf city Walmart, where he created a long lasting bond among his colleagues.

When he was not working he spent his time in the quietness of his home listening to Metallica that is when the Dallas Cowboys, UNC Tarheels or NASCAR was not on.

The family will not be holding a service to respect Mike's wishes. We ask that in lieu of flowers please donate to Lower Cape Fear Life Care Hospice.
