Maude Venice Rivenbark Eakins Alexander, 91 of Willard, NC left this earthly life to join her Heavenly Father, family and friends that preceded her on March 8, 2021.

She was born in Pender County on October 12, 1929 to the late Scornwall Lester and Eva Wells Rivenbark. Maude was preceded in death by her husband, Philp G. Eakins; sisters, Luema Higgins, Edna Rivenbark, Carolyn Teachey, and Margaret Rivenbark; brothers, Woodley Rivenbark, Frank Rivenbark and Ivey Rivenbark.

Maude is survived by her sons; Patrick Vince Eakins of the home, Philip G. Eakins, Jr (Linda), grandchildren; Eva Leitch, (Scott), Philis Galloway, Philip Gardner Eakins III (Laura), Ashley Eakins: great-grandchildren, Bailey King (Preston), Bridgette Leitch, Philip Galloway, Kelsey Galloway and Lilly Eakins, sister Evelyn Bloodworth, brothers; Morrison Rivenbark and Edgar Rivenbark, as well as a large family of nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Amy Teachey Norris and her family for the life-long loving relationship that they had with our mom. Also remembered is her life-long friend Clara Moore that was a true and faithful friend.

Maude was a faithful and lifelong member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Through her long life, she was active and participated in the ministries and events of the church. It is without doubt that she loved her God, her Savior Jesus Christ, her family and her friends.

Her greatest joy was that of cooking and insisting that all "eat-it-all". It is with heartfelt thanks that our family acknowledges the great and compassionate care that our mom received from her "family" at Ash Gardens in Burgaw during this past year of great difficulty within our land.
