Mary Alberta
Wells
Nov 4, 1931 — Oct 15, 2022
Willard
Mary Alberta Rose Wells, 90, left this earthly life on October 15, 2022 and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She faithfully attended Watha Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. Her life was a constant portrayal of her love for her Lord.
She was born November 4, 1931 in Richmond, Virginia.
Preceding her in death was her husband W. E. Wells and her son Franklin Wells. She is survived by her son Danny Ray Wells of Rose Hill and her daughter Cindy Wells Rogers and son-in-law Glenn Rogers of Watha; grandchildren Ben Rogers and wife Britney of Rocky Point, Nick Rogers and wife Lindsay of Yorktown, Virginia, Derrick Wells and wife Kristina of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Brandon Wells and wife Crystal of Hartsel, Colorado, and Jonathan Wells and wife Nicole of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and great-grandchildren Loreley Rogers, Evie Rogers, Logan Rogers, Griffin Rogers, Brianna Wells, Derrick Wells, Jr., Nathan Wells, Isabelle Wells, Kalea Wells, Colton Wells, and Mason Wells; and many special nieces and nephews.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was loved dearly by all of her family.
She has always loved children and was blessed and fortunate to be able to watch children in her home for many years and enjoyed it immensely.
While still living at home she loved to send greeting cards and copies of beautiful quotes and poems to uplift and encourage others. She also enjoyed crocheting, creating beautiful crafts using plastic canvas, coloring, and completing puzzles. She was a fabulous cook and baked the most delicious cakes.
The family would like to thank everyone at The Laurels of Pender for their prayers, gentle care, kindness, compassion, smiles, laughter, and taking time to console, encourage, and provide comfort. Your love will never be forgotten.
