Mrs. Mary Jeffreys Peedin age 82 of Burgaw, died Sunday February 12, 2012 at home.
She was born June 4, 1929 in Selma, NC daughter of the late John and Larue Williams Jeffreys. She was also predeceased by her husband James H. Peedin Jr. MD, and a son James H. Peedin III.
Mrs. Peedin was very active in the Burgaw United Methodist Church. She was Choir director for many years and an accomplished Pianist. She was a member of the Burgaw Research Club, the Lena Pullen Circle, and Bridge Club. She was a wonderful mother, wife and grandmother, who was dearly loved by her family and many friends.

She is survived by three sons, Bill Peedin and wife Minzet of Burgaw, Jeff Peedin and wife Pam of Littleton, David Peedin and wife Sherry of Scotts Hill; ten grandchildren, Jeffrey Peedin, Samantha Peedin, Zachery Peedin, JonMichael Peedin, Jay Peedin, Sarah Peedin, Bobby Peedin, Taylor Peedin, Pete Peedin, Crystal Turner; one great grandchild Robin Turner; a brother John Jeffreys of Burgaw; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 am Wednesday February 15, 2012 at the Burgaw United Methodist Church. Reverend Laura Mitchell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Burgaw Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 10:00 am Wednesday before the service at the Church fellowship hall.
