Mary Patricia Flynn Hoey "Pat",age 85 of Rocky Point,formerly of Hartford, CT died Tuesday July 15,2015 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Pat was born September 4,1929 in Hartford,CT,daughter of the late William and Mary Wurdig Flynn. She was predeceased by her husband James T. Hoey. Mary is survived by her daughter, Mary Myslow and husband Matt of Rocky Point,4 sons; James Hoey and wife Mimi of Griswold CT,William Hoey and wife Sandy of Woodbury CT, John Hoey and wife Anita of Watertown CT, Paul Hoey and wife Jackie of Brandon, Mississippi. Mary is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and a sister, Joan Higgins of Torrington, CT.
Pat moved to Pender County in October and was truly touched by the people in the community.
A Memorial Service was held at Riley's Creek Baptist Church, Sunday July 19,2015 at 12:30pm.Pastor Jim Herchenhahn officiated.
A Mass will be held Monday August 8, 2015 at 10:00 AM Saint Patrick's Catholic Church. Father Norman Brockett will officiate
