Margaret Peterson Murphy age 66 of Watha, died Saturday March 24, 2012 at Highsmith Rainey Rehabilitation Center in Fayetteville. She was born February 16, 1946 in Newport News Virginia, daughter of the late Helen Little Peterson and James Peterson.

She is survived by her husband Allen Winfield; three sons, Jeff Whitley and wife Doddie, and Alfey Whitley all of VA, Adam Miller and wife Susie of Watha; a daughter Cindy Peterson of TX; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Cynthia, and Samantha Miller; a great-grandchild Austin Teachey; a brother Jeff Peterson and wife Cathy of Currie; and a sister Shelia Thorpe and husband Eddie of Burgaw.
Margaret had many animals on her "farm" and dearly loved caring for them all. She was a Christian lady who loved the Lord. She was a great cook and enjoyed feeding her family.

A memorial service will be at 3:00 PM Friday March 30, 2012 at Harrell's Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Penny Brown will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
