Leon George "Bud" Phillips, age 69 of Rocky Point, passed peacefully Wednesday June 10, 2020 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

He was born October 28, 1950 in Johnson County AR, son of the late George and Ruby Page Phillips.

He is survived by his life partner, Mary Charlotte Gindler; daughter Kimberly Miciak of Yakima WA ; stepdaughters, Jacqueline Gilbert, Leetha Reynolds and Christal Gilbert all of Lamar AR; grandchildren, Brooklyn Riggio, Cadence Riggio, Ava Jo Riggio, Brennan Lee Gilbert,and Tylee Willis, Brenda Miciak, Andrew Miciak, Casey Ray Nance and Kevin Jacob Phillips; great grandchildren, Jaxon, Evander, and Paisley; and Charlotte's family, Mike Randall, Brandy Swinson, James Randall, David Godard, Robert "Bronx" Murray and Justin Randall.

Bud retired from the Army Corps of Engineers after 25 years of service in the Russellville AR offices. He served honorably in the United States Army. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Bud was truly loved by his family.
