Kimberly
Uribe
Aug 2, 1969 — Jul 22, 2023
Burgaw
After a long illness and brave battle, Kimberly Rose Uribe has been released from her earthly pain and passed into her heavenly reward on July 22, 2023.
Born in Pennsylvania to Linda Stauffer Hoover on August 2, 1969 she moved to Burlington, NC in her teens and graduated from Cummings High School. She spent her life caring for others and gave with her entire heart until her strength was gone. A devoted daughter and mother, she also worked as a CNA with Touched By Angels in Graham for 18 years, and was proud to earn her Associates Degree from Alamance Community College in 2013.
She was called "Kim" or "Kimmie" by family and friends and took great joy in simple pleasures. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, going to May Memorial Library, writing cards and letters, accompanying her dad to his Tuesday Senior Bowling League, road trips, watching the Kentucky Derby, and the planning and shopping for her favorite holiday, Christmas.
Kimmie's feisty and tenacious spirit, strength, determination, and enthusiasm will live on in the memories of her family and friends.
She has joined her beloved mother, Linda Hoover, in heaven and leaves behind her daughter, Cheyenne Uribe, son, Daniel Uribe II and wife Nicole, Adored granddaughter, Lily Uribe, step-father Dale Hoover, ex-husband, Daniel Uribe, several step-siblings, cousins, extended family and countless friends.
Kimmie decided to forgo a Memorial Service as she preferred to celebrate life while she still lived. Many thanks to those who showed her love and support throughout her life and also to everyone who visited, called, texted and sent cards.
She chose to spend her final months with family in Burgaw, and received excellent care and support from her hospice team at Lower Cape Fear Life Care. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory and honor to Lower Cape Fear Life Care or to a hospice organization in your own community will be much appreciated.
