Mr. Keith Jones, age 64, of Penderlea Community in Willard, died Saturday October 29, 2011 at home.

He was born October 27, 1947 in Pender County son of the late R V and Margie Johnson Jones. He was also predeceased by brothers and sisters, Barbara Davis, Calvin Jones, Tommy Jones, Rose Wainright, Betty Lou Smith, Jim Jones, Bill Jones, and Kenneth Jones.

Keith enjoyed cooking, growing and tending his garden, and spending time with his friends. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Surviving are two daughters, Susan Chestnutt and husband Tommy of Beulaville, and Sarah Jones of Willard; and a grandson Jeffrey Chestnutt; two sisters, Jean Boone and husband Sammy of Teachey, Susie Jones of Wallace; and a brother Jessie Jones and wife Kathy of Wallace, several nieces and nephews; special friend Nann Simpson of Clinton; and two loving companions Jake and Lucky.

Through his years of living in Penderlea, Keith made lots of friends and special attachments. He will be greatly missed by those friends.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 am Tuesday November 1, 2011 at Harrell's Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Sammy Boone and Reverend Rick Moore will officiate.
The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
