Katherine Ann Leahey Gold, age 71 of Rocky Point passed peacefully at home Friday January 1, 2021surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 22, 1949 in the Bronx NY, daughter of the late William and Alice Cone Leahey. She was also predeceased by her sister, Alice Freeman.

She is survived by a son, Brian Gold of Rocky Point; a granddaughter, Gabriella Gold; a sister, Theresa Builderbeck and husband Jay of Patchogue, NY; niece and nephew, Alyce Freeman and George Freeman; and many great nieces and nephews.

Katherine doted on her son Brian. She was at every sporting event he had, football, hockey, track and fencing. Katherine was a team mom and cheerleading coach. She was loved and respected by the entire community.

Because of covid no services will be held at this time.
