Judy Michaele Gates, age 81 of Hampstead, passed peacefully Thursday May 20, 2021 at Woodbury Wellness.

She was born August 14, 1939 in Sampson County, daughter of the late Rudolph and Alileen Royal Honeycutt.

She is survived by her son, David Gates and wife Leigh of Hampstead; and daughter, Donna Michele Lee and husband Allen of CA; four grandchildren, Caitlyn Stevill, Michaela Lee, Hannah Gates, and Nathan Gates; three great grandchildren; and a brother, Creighton Wayne Honeycutt of FL.

In her day, Judy was so full of life.  She loved dancing, loved the outdoors and loved her children. Judy worked in the medical field most of her life, helping others all the time.  Many looked up to her and she was a strong leader.  She had complete and total love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  The best GG ever!  Judy had many acquaintances and a few very deep, long term friendships.  She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service and inurnment will be announced at a later date.
