Joyce Marie Bishop Cash, age 75 of Kenly passed peacefully at home Tuesday March 10, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 7, 1950 in Wake County daughter of the late Horace and Lois Bishop.

She is survived by her son, Ray Bass of Kenly; and daughter, Tammie Bass of Selma; six grandchildren, Gwendolyn Bass, Tamarah Bass, Linwood Bass Jr., Joshua Bass, Colby Patrick, and Jacob McDaniel-Bass; ten great grandchildren; and brother, Joe Bishop and wife Faye of Kittrell.

Marie was a hardworking, strong woman who retired from the Wake County School system after many years of service. She enjoyed the outdoors and liked camping and cooking on campouts. Marie was a very caring and loving person and anyone would see this after being around her for a short time. She dearly loved her family and her husband Bill who preceded her in death in 2014.

Graveside services will be at 12:00 PM Saturday March 14, 2026 at Wake Forest Cemetery. Reverend Tim Stevens will officiate and burial will follow. The family will receive friends after the service.
