John Michael Kraynick, age 66 of Hampstead, died Sunday September 5, 2010 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Life Care Center. He was born September 15, 1943 in Pender County son of the late Paul and Vernie Horvath Kraynick Sr. He was also predeceased by two brothers Paul Kraynick, Jr. and Joe Kraynick.
Johnny retired after 38 years with International Paper. He liked to fish, but had not been able to do so in the last several years.
He is survived by his caregiver, Donna Kraynick of Hampstead; a brother Jimmy Kraynick of Burgaw; two sisters, Mary Ann Strickland of Wilmington and Betty Jane Neale of Burgaw; several nieces and nephews; and his special yorkie "Pootie" who will miss her daddy.

everything looking so nice during Johnny's illness. Thanks to all of you.
A graveside service will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday September 8, 2010 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Wilmington. Pastor Owen Carriker will officiate.
