John Clayton Jackson, age 58 of Clarkton passed peacefully Wednesday October 1, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born April 28, 1967 in Danville VA, son of the late John and Diane Jackson.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Terri Jackson; three sons, Jonathan Evans and wife Jackie of Fairfax VT, Steven Lockerman of Wilson, and Brent Jackson and wife Stephanie of Castle Hayne; two daughters, Kristin Perry and husband Matthew of Graham and Ashley Vazquez and husband Javier of Las Vegas, NV; ten grandchildren, Noah, Skylar, Timothy, Anthony, Elliott, Harrison, Bradley, Felix, Stella, and Charlotte; Sister, Kelley Hall; brother, Ryan Buckner; fur babies, Bella and Abby; and many nieces and nephews.

John had a great love for animals and enjoyed transporting many different animals throughout the country as a courier. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and liked to sport his signature long beard. He liked to watch pro wrestling and knew many wrestlers around the country. John loved his family and was very proud of all his children. He was a great husband and enjoyed family gatherings where you could be sure he would be joking around.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday October 5, 2025 at Woodcock Cemetery in Atkinson. Reverend Merrell Mckoy will officiate and burial will follow.
