Joan Jones Pickett's Obituary
Joan Etta Jones Pickett age 64 of Ivanhoe died Wednesday March 18, 2015 at New Hanover Regional Med. Center.
She was born June 9, 1950 in Duplin County daughter of the late Claude and Carrie Miller Jones.
She is survived by her husband David Pickett of the home; a son, Brian Pickett of Ivanhoe; two sisters, Joyce Kelly of Burgaw, and Jean Gurganious of Ivanhoe; a brother, Jimmy Jones of Ivanhoe; a very special sister in law Cherry Jones of Willard and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son Randy Pickett; and two brothers, Gordon Hall and Ronald Jones.
Joan loved to read and go to church. She enjoyed talking and laughing with people and always had a humble and sweet nature.
Graveside services will be at 4:00PM Saturday March 21, 2015 at Gurganious family Cemetery in Bulltail. Reverend Wayne Bateman and Reverend Gardner Eakins will officiate.
The family will receive friends at 3:30 pm at the Cemetery.
