Jimmy, the oldest son of four, was born March 6, 1936, in the St. Helena community of Burgaw, to James and Bessie Gyetvai Tokoly. He graduated from Burgaw High School in 1955, and it was there that he met his wife of 65 years, Carlene Wells Tokoly.
