James Thomas "Jimbo" Robbins, age 65 of Willard passed peacefully Thursday January 16, 2025, at Novant NHR Medical Center.

He was born October 3, 1959, in Pender County, son of the late Dudley and Jacquelyne Robbins. He was also predeceased by his brother, Bill Robbins.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Heidi Robbins; two brothers, Red Robbins and wife June of Burgaw, and Marty Robbins and wife Sue of Wilmington; step daughter, Danielle Nicole Miller of Willard; many loving nieces and nephews; and two special brothers, Greg Miller and Steve Robinson.

Jimbo was co-owner of Robbins Nursery and operated it for many years with his brothers. He was very active in the Democratic party in his early years. He was past president of both the Willarlea Ruritan Club and the Burgaw Rotary Club. Jimbo was on the board of directors for the NC State Wolfpack Club, Black River Medical Center, Smart Start, and Pender Adult Services. He was a Senior Warden of St. Mary's Episcopal Church. He was a graduate of NC State University. Jimbo loved his sports and dearly loved the NC State Wolfpack. He rescued many dogs throughout his life because of his love for animals. Most of all Jimbo loved his wife and his family.

There will be a memorial service at 1:00 PM Monday January 20, 2025, at St. Mary's Episcopal Lutheran Church. Father Dan McGill will officiate. There will be a private family burial at Burgaw Cemetery.
