Jessie Lula Boyd Shepard age 78 of Burgaw died Saturday January 9, 2016 at Kenansville Health and Rehab.

She was born October 25, 1937 in Brunswick County daughter of the late Johnny Richard and Beulah Hughes Boyd.

She is survived by her husband Dallas Vance Shepard Sr.; two daughters Sharon Higgins and husband Jay of Beulaville, Lula Rene Turner and husband Jim of Clinton; six grandchildren, Kenneth, Heather, Hannah, Ryan, Dallas III and Keaton; two brothers, John Boyd and wife Melba and Donald Ray Boyd and wife Frances all of Wilmington; a sister Janice Ward and husband Roy of Rocky Point; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Dallas Shepard Jr. and two grandchildren, Dallas Lee Canady and Vance Turner.

Funeral services will be at 11:00am Wednesday January 13, 2016 at Harrell's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Coleman Family Cemetery in Brunswick Co.

The family will receive friends Tuesday 7-8:00 PM at Harrell's Funeral Home.
