Jean Jones Boone (Jeanne) transitioned to her home in Glory on August 30th, 2021 at the age of 70.

Jeanne was born on May 23rd, 1951 in Pender County, NC. She was the youngest of 12 children born to R.V. and Margie Johnson Jones.  Jeanne was the last living child of the family.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of almost 52 years, Sammy; her son, Danny and wife Elizabeth of Princeton, NC; her daughter, Amy and husband Don Clements of Teachey, NC; her grandchildren, Kristyn Padgett and husband Weston; Graham Boone; Patyn Bryant and fiance Cole Farrior; Josie Clements, Abbi Yost and husband Dylan; Jaycie Bryant; Mark, Macon and Macy Boone; great grandson Caleb Padgett; and special great niece McKeithan Cross. Jeanne had many many nieces and nephews that she loved as her own.

Jeanne was the most beautiful and dedicated wife and mother.  Ms. Jeanne, as she was known to so many children in the community, worked for years in the childcare industry, including owning her own daycare, New Beginnings Learning Center. She touched many lives through the years and loved all of the children that were trusted in her care. She was the wife of a Minister and was very dedicated to the service of the Lord.  She was a servant to all who knew her and the hardest working person in the room.  Jeanne loved riding her motorcycle with her favorite riding partner, Sammy.  She also enjoyed her church family at Hatcher's Chapel in Chinquapin NC.

The family will receive friends Friday 7-8:30pm at Harrell's Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Saturday September 4, 2021 at Harrell's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Rockfish Memorial Cemetery, Wallace.
