Mary Jeanette Henderson of Scotts Hill, North Carolina passed away on March 26, 2022 in the Life Care Center of Wilmington, North Carolina.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 2nd at Hampstead Baptist Church, Hampstead, North Carolina.  The family will receive visitors in the sanctuary one hour prior to the service.

Jeanette was born in Lumberton, North Carolina to Horace and Eunice Yates Sealey on June 29, 1941.  She married "Gerald" Dean Henderson, Sr. on February 8, 1958.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Ray Sealey, her nephews Donnie and Nathan Sealey and her beloved grandson, "William Howard Simmons III.  She is survived by her husband Gerald with 64 years of marriage; her children Glenda Gales (John), Pam Lee (Earl) and Dean Henderson, Jr.  She was also blessed with four grandchildren, Gerald Simmons, Ashley Moore Swanson, Katie Moore and Alex Henderson and four great grandchildren, Ayden and Alena Swanson, Casen Simmons and Ericson Tong.

She was a long time active member of Hampstead Baptist Church.   She attended services and served her church family and community in countless spiritual and volunteer capacities until the time when her health would no longer allow.
