James Nathan "Jimmy" Rogers age 72 of Burgaw died Tuesday July 26, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 26, 1944 in Pender County son of the late Ellery Logan Rogers Sr. and Alice Carpenter Rogers.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Peek Rogers; daughters Tammy Maynor of Harrells, Cindy Newkirk and husband Desi of Harrells, and Sandra Heath of Beaulaville; son Tim Thompson of FL; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; brother Ted Rogers and wife Sylvia of Burgaw; and sister Shirley Dancy of Rocky Point.

He was predeceased by son David Thompson; brother Logan Rogers; and sister Rowena Smithey.

Jimmy was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an electrician by trade and loved to work in the food ministry.

Funeral services will be at 4:00pm Sunday July 31, 2016 at Gateway Community Church. Reverend Ted Mercer will officiate. Burial will follow in Seagate Cemetery in Wilmington.
