James Edward Gardner Jr age 64 of Wallace died April 23 2015 at home.


He was born August 28, 1950 in Onslow County son of James Gardner Sr. and the late Joline Gardner. He was also predeceased by his wife Phillis Worrell Gardner.

He is survived by a son James Gardner III and wife Ivy of Hampton VA; a daughter Franki Batchelor and husband John of Richlands; 3 granddaughters; 4 step grandchildren; a sister Linda Hanson of Keyser W VA; 3 sister-in-laws Evelyn Norris of Penderlea, Doris Barnett of Warsaw, Jody Lea and husband Gary of Hampstead; and several nieces and nephews.

James loved to fish and enjoyed hunting in his younger days.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 AM Friday May 1, 2015 at Peniel Pentecostal FW Baptist Church,2370 Willard Rd., Willard NC 28478. Reverend Dr. Howard Harrell will officiate.
