JR Gladstone, age 68, of Rocky Point, NC passed away unexpectedly on 21 July 2023 at his home.  He was born 13 August 1954 to the late Joesph Ralph and Cathrine Mae Gladstone.

JR was married to Elizabeth Jenesse Gladstone for a time.  He was a machinist at Boeing for several years before retiring as a cook for Waffle House in Kansas City, KS.

JR moved to North Carolina with the love of his life Deborah Cramer.  Together they had many hobbies.  They loved to play spades on the internet and rescue animals.

JR was predeceased by his long-time partner, Deborah, his mother Catherine Mae Thurston Gladstone and father Joseph Ralph Gladstone.

He is survived by his brothers, KC Gladstone, BZ "Buzz" Gladstone (Shirley), and WA Gladstone, sisters Betsy Gladstone and Beverly Gladstone, son Christopher Gladstone (Taryn), daughter Erica Wilson, granddaughters Chloe and Olivia Gladstone and several nieces and nephews.  JR was also survived by his extended family in NC:  Sabrina L. Cramer, Robert M. Cramer (Heather), Marcus R. Cramer (Kaylie), Hayley Spivey (Stephen), Emaley Swinson (Cameron), Zarya Cramer, Bellamy Cramer and Aliyah Cramer.

JR will be missed by many others in the Wilmington Community as he was a member of the Human Wall for Fallen Soldiers group.
