Helen Evanovich Kelly, 99, of Carolina Beach, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 4, 2021.  Helen was born on June 4, 1921 in St. Helena, NC.  She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Kelly; parents, Eli and Stacie Evanovich; four brothers, and five sisters.

Helen is survived by her two children, daughter, Rosemary Lee, and son Jack Kelly (Diane); 4 grandchildren, Blair Kelly (Nikki), Natalie Simpson, Summer and Taylor Kelly; 4 great grandchildren, Katelyn, Addison and Harper Kelly, and Brantley Simpson; and a great-great granddaughter, Caroline Kelly.

Mrs. Kelly was a loving wife, a terrific mother and the best Nene anyone would ever be lucky enough to have. She will be missed by so many, yet her legacy will live on for generations to come.

A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 in her hometown of St. Helena.
