Mr. George Langston Norris age 83 of Suffolk VA, died Friday November 11, 2011 at Georgian Manor in Chesapeake VA.

He was born September 13, 1928 in Pender County son of the late George and Leona Baker Norris. He was also predeceased by a son David Norris and his wife Minnie Norris.

He is survived by a son Larry Norris of Chesapeake VA; four daughters, Cathy Zwirn and husband Donn of Suffolk VA, Christine Woodward and husband Gary of Chesapeake VA, Carolyn Hollar and husband Ernie of Portsmouth VA. Susan Mize of Currie; Four grandchildren, Adam Sugg, Brandon Woodward, Devon Mise, Joseph Hollar; and a great granddaughter Lilian Sugg.

Mr. Norris was a retired US Navy veteran of 26 years having served honorably during the Korean War. He was a member of the Portsmouth VFW.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday November 14, 2011 at Harrell's Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend John Norris will officiate. Burial will follow in the Norris Family Cemetery Currie, with full military honors accorded by the US Navy.
The family will receive friends Sunday 6-7:00pm at the funeral home.
