Garry Martin Brown, age 82 of Burgaw passed peacefully at home Sunday May 11, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born November 6, 1942 in Punxsutawney PA, son of the late Glen and Mary Brown. He was also predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Carol Brown.

He is survived by two daughters, Michelle Boyle and husband Kevin of Southport, and Dianne Evans and husband Brian of Wilmington; two grandsons, Shawn Flynn, and Kyle Flynn and wife Jade; one great grandson, Beau Flynn; sister Myrna Lemmon and husband Joe of Marion Center PA; and many nieces and nephews.

Garry served honorably in the United States Navy from 1961 to 1965 on a flight crew aboard a P2V-5 searching for Soviet submarines. Flying became his passion and he built his own plane, an RV4, which he called Little Blue. It was painted blue and yellow to match the Navy Blue Angles. Garry worked for Fisher Scientific for 37 years doing research and development. He retired in 2003 and he and his wife moved to Burgaw and lived at Stag Air Park.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1-2:00 PM. A celebration of his life will follow at 2:00 PM Saturday May 17, 2025 at Harrell's Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Bill Morris will officiate. Garry and his wife's ashes will be laid to rest in the Atlantic Ocean which they both loved.
