Frances Crews Ramsey, 87, of Burgaw passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 16th, 2023.

She was born October 7, 1935 in Pender County, daughter of David Irvin Crews and Chalma Irene Smith Brown. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years Kenneth E. Ramsey Sr., brother, David Dean Crews and infant sister Annie Elizabeth Crews.

Frances is survived by her four children: Kenneth E. Ramsey Jr. (Nancy), Russell I. Ramsey (Ann), Deborah R. Bruhn (Carl), and Rebecca R. Creech (Buddy); 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Frances was a homemaker in every sense of the word and had a hand in the nurturing and care of many children throughout her life. She fought a good fight. She finished her course and kept her faith. She will be remembered with love, and greatly missed by all that knew her.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, September 19th at 11:00 am, graveside at Riverview Memorial Park. Family will receive friends immediately following the service.
