Evelyn Faye Batts Rogers, age 91 of Willard passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday October 22, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born October 3, 1933 in Duplin County, daughter of the late John and Etta Parker Batts. She was also predeceased by her husband Logan Rogers; sister, Lois Savage; brother, Donald Batts; and son in law Garland Frye.

She is survived by her son, Glenn Rogers and wife Cindy of Watha, and daughter Pat Frye of Wallace; four grandchildren, Aaron Frye, Andrew Frye and wife Jessica, Ben Rogers and wife Britney, and Nick Rogers and wife Lindsay; eight great grandchildren, Brady, Mackenzie, Loreley, Logan, Griffin, Evie, Brody, and Ellery; two brothers, Ronald Batts and wife Carolyn of Burgaw, and Gerald Batts and wife Sharon of Hampstead; special niece and caregiver, Janet Hewlett; sister in law, Sylvia Rogers; and many nieces and nephews.

Faye was a lifelong member of Penderlea Baptist Church and Sunday school secretary for over thirty years. She loved to sing in the church choir. She enjoyed growing flowers and gardening and enjoyed spending time making a beautiful yard. Faye enjoyed sewing and was known for being the community seamstress.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM Friday at Penderlea Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM Friday October 25, 2024 at Penderlea Baptist Church with Reverend Joshua Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park.
