Everett Rivenbark, age 89 of Burgaw, passed away Friday, January 14, 2011 at Huntington Health Care, Burgaw, after several years of declining health. He was born May 15, 1921 in Pender County, son of the late Finn C. and Fronia Blanton Rivenbark. He served honorably in the United States Army during World War II, and was a carpenter by trade. He was also predeceased by three brothers, Philip, Tyson and Clarence; two sisters, Finnie and Bertha.

He is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held to remember and honor Everett on Sunday January 16, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Harrell's Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Debbie Murray will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park, Watha. Military honors will be accorded by the United States Army.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 1:00 pm at Harrell's Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
