Ethel Ramsey Deal age 90, of Burgaw, died Sunday September 19, 2010 in Wilmington.

She was born April 15, 1920 in Duplin County daughter of the late George Albert Ramsey and Lena Merritt Ramsey. She was also predeceased by her husband Dr. Thomas C. Deal in 1998, a brother, Herbert Ramsey, a sister Mary T. Ramsey, and twin sister Evelyn Meissner.

Mrs. Deal is survived by four daughters, Patsy D. Casey and husband Samuel of Currituck, NC, Nancy D. Fox and husband Bob of Chapel Hill, Sue Ellen Williamson and husband Charles of Rocky Point, and Mary Ann Deal Keiser and husband David of Wilmington; eight grandchildren Sandy Casey, Amy Morgan, Tommy Casey, Bobby Fox, Andy Williamson, Chris Williamson, Mark Williamson, Beth Williamson Mills; eleven great grandchildren; one sister, Hildred Porter of Burgaw; one brother-in-law Dr. Glenn P. Deal and wife Rosie of Taylorsville; and many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held Wednesday September 22, 2010 at the Burgaw Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the family home at 305 W. Fremont Street Burgaw from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Wednesday following the service.
