Ernest Edward Brinson Jr., 66, passed away peacefully on the morning of April 17, 2026. A lifelong resident of Burgaw, Ernest was a devoted husband, father, and friend whose kindness and steady presence touched many lives.

Ernest shared 37 loving years of marriage with his wife, Clara Brinson. Together they built a family grounded in love, loyalty, and support. He was a man who could always be counted on—someone who showed up whenever anyone needed a helping hand.

He is preceded in death by his sons, John Carl Brinson and Ernest Brinson; his mother, Marjorie Newcomb; and his brothers, Paul Rabon, Karl Guthke, and Michael Edward Kendrick Sr.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Clara Brinson; his children, Timothy Brinson, Clarissa Brinson, Thomas Brinson, Marie Alvarez; his daughter-in-law, Karessa Brinson; and grandson Logan Brinson. His family was the center of his world, and he took great pride in being a loving husband and father.

Ernest had a special love for playing pool and could spend hours at the table whenever he had the chance. More than anything, he will be remembered for his generous heart, his willingness to help others, and the quiet strength he brought to those around him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
