Dolores Fortunato Banos, age 82 of Burgaw passed at home Sunday February 2, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 6, 1942 in Providence, RI daughter of the late Carmine and Mary Fortunato.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ross Banos; three sons, Brian Banos and wife Myoung of MD, Victor Banos of Delco, and Aaron Banos and wife Heidi of England; two daughters, Marie Zakos of Delco, and Adrienne Green and husband Jeff of KS; six grandchildren; and a sister Joann Leone of Burgaw.

Dolores had a green thumb and enjoyed growing a garden and flowers in her younger days. She was a wonderful cook and fond of preparing meals for her family. She enjoyed animals of all kinds and especially adored cats. Dolores was the caretaker of the family and dearly loved them all especially her grandchildren. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

There will be a private family viewing and no services are planned at this time.
