Dennis Franklin Ballance Sr., age 68 of Burgaw passed peacefully Monday February 23, 2026 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born August 13, 1957 in Onslow County son of the late Cecil and Irene Ballance. He was also predeceased by his sister, Sandy Sealy.

He is survived by his wife, Alease Ballance; son, Dennis Ballance Jr.; two brothers, Cecil Ballance and wife Dora and Terry Ballance and wife Marilyn all of SC; a sister, Vickie Youngs and husband Reo of MI; brother, Jeff Sealy and wife Vickie; special uncle, Kurt Ballance; and many other family members and friends.

Dennis served honorably in the United States Navy. He enjoyed fishing, shooting guns and reloading ammo. He liked riding motorcycles and being outdoors. Dennis loved his family above everything else and was dearly loved by them all.

There will be a private family viewing.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday February 26, 2026 at the Mintz Family Cemetery in Delco. The family will receive friends after the service and burial will follow.
