David L. Holden age 81 of Burgaw died Saturday June 18, 2016 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

David was born July 13, 1935 in Winston Salem, NC son of the late Grover and Loraine Wilkins Holden. He was predeceased by his wife Rita Harned Holden.

He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Holden Hutchinson, and Mitzi Holden Spainhour and husband Ivan all of King, NC; a brother Bill Holden and wife Sharon of Clermont, FL; and two sisters, Nancy Holden Lethco of Wilmington, NC and Phyllis Holden Easter and husband Rayford of Kingsport, TN.

Funeral services will be at 11:00am Wednesday June 22, 2016 at Jordan's Chapel United Methodist Church. Reverend Alan Sasser will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 10:00am, one hour prior to the service, at the church.
